Findlay Market Public Restroom

University of Cincinnati, DAAP

September - October 2021

The goal of this project was to balance both privacy and safety to create a restroom structure to support Findlay Market in Over-The-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio. Creating a safe and comfortable space for any gender, age, or disability, as well as establishing features for families with young children was a key driver in this project. Implementing a floating wall in front of the restroom and shower doors allows for privacy as one opens the door, while letting others outside of the structure to see if anyone is behind the wall, further accentuating the balance of of privacy and safety.
